Story:
A tale of suspense, the story is about Karthik (farhan) who is a loser in life and has low levels of confidence. Due to his nature, he is also very inefficient at work and due to this, his boss Kamath (ram Kapoor) tends to ridicule him at all times. On the other hand, there is the beautiful Shonali (deepika), Karthik's colleague who hardly notice that he is around. When life seems to suck, Karthik gets a call on his phone and the caller identifies himself as Karthik and informs that he is there to change his life. Karthik takes the offer and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:
The director has come up with a thoughtful tale but though the presentation was good, the narrative failed to impress. The dialogues were okay, the script was weak and the screenplay was patchy. Background score was good and two songs are worth taking home. Cinematography was technically good and editing was somewhat better. The art department was quite creative and the costumes were trendy and stylish. Farhan has come up with yet another impressive performance but then the role of the character was not that strong, Deepika looks dazzling as ever and she makes her presence felt, Ram Kapoor was good, Shifaali is super, Vivian is neat, the others did their bit as required.
Conclusion:
The film runs on the line of suspense and some psychological aspects but then it is due to the poor writing where things get complicated. While the take off is good and the first half looks promising, it is the second half which gets dragged and even the climax gets a bit stale. Given the high technical values and the brand presence of the lead pair, the multiplex audience will watch it and opening collections will be good. But a super hit at the box office is doubtful.
